Prophecy was born the son of a NFL football player. Though he never lived with his father, he found his passion for music while listening to the records played by his mother at an early age. Originally, he had ambitions to play pro basketball. Though after a short stint at Norfolk State University that dream would fail to come through, and he eventually came to realize that music was going to be a part of his life. "You can't run from the music" says Prophecy. " It chooses you!" So after featuring on his first album in high school with a small group of friends known as the 5 Saints(based out of SC) he finally decided that music was going to be his "calling" After various problems at NSU, Prophecy was expelled and left for the military to avoid life in the streets. Once in the military for a couple of years, he saw that military life wasn't for him. "Man Bush had cats all scared and stuff, I was like "I ain't feeling this" and returned to South Carolina. Once back in SC he opted to move in with his Grandmother in Greenwood. Once there he met a lot of people connected in the local music industry. "Being in Greenwood really helped to show me a lot of the business side of the music game", says Prophecy, "at first it was all about making them hit songs, but soon I came to see that if the business ain't right, then ain't nothing happenin." So he set out to look for the production that could get him where he needed to go. In came Dangerous Mindz Productions(DMP), a group of friends he met through his right hand man JDS. "It was like, once we met each other it was official. Our chemistry was and still is unbelieveable, I cranked out about 70 songs wit them catz and it was a really good situation because I had all in-house production as well as other production from Chynah Man(Fort Knox) and City(Fort Knox)." Now living just outside of Washington DC he's been out grinding, selling his mixtapes and cd's on his own independent label Real Lyfe Records LLC. "Being with DMP has definitely been a good learning experience but not being in that area and having their help now means I got to shine."I been through a lot of drama in life and the music carried me through I just want to be able to do the same for others. Plus, I spit nothing but that real sh@*." Also availabe is his mixtape "Beatin Em Senseless" with local Maryland/DC artist Traceless through a joint venture with Outfitted Records CEO Chris Downing aka "Traceless". He has also been on 2 internet distributed mixtapes(www.newartistonline.com(artist search:DMP) with Philadelphia's Dj No Frillz and Chase Manhattan (Chase Records) and of course his own label home Dangerous Mindz Productions.
