‘Lay your Love on Me’ the 2nd Single – No 3 in British charts & No 1 in most European Countries & Australia & New Zealand.

‘Some Girls’ the 3rd Single - reached No 2 in British charts & No 1 in most European Countries & Australia & New Zealand

When this single was released in Australia it knocked Racey's previous No 1 hit single for 8 weeks
‘Lay your Love on Me’ from its top spot,
‘Some Girls’ then remained at No 1 for a further 6 weeks

‘Racey’ certainly dominated the Australian charts.

‘Boy oh Boy’ the 4th Single - reached No 12 in the British charts & gave Racey their 3rd No 1 in Australia & New Zealand.

This single also completed the 'hat trick' of Racey's success in Denmark with 3 No 1 singles in a row.

Another big hit right across Europe.

‘Runaround Sue’ the 5th single - No 13 in British charts & another big hit across Europe.

Racey’s Album - ‘Smash 'n' Grab’ sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

In Australia this L.P. out sold Abba and Paul McCartney.

Total world wide record sales for ‘Racey’ were over 6 million

covering the U.K. Europe, Scandinavia, Australia & New Zealand.

‘Lay your Love on Me’ and ‘Some Girls’ were both awarded Gold & Silver discs making Racey one of Mickey Most & RAK records biggest selling bands.

The bands chart success finally dried up, and in mid '85' ‘Racey’ split.

Until.1990... ‘Racey’ reformed ....................

When the three original members Clive Wilson, Phil Fursdon & Pete Miller got back together to reform Racey they were joined by Ian Hewitt who easily took on the keyboard role. Since then Racey have toured Worldwide, each year their fan base has broadened & grown with them.
