so over all i've always thought your music needed more diversity within each song itself (The walmart waltz almost accomplished that) but Something for Nothing COMPLETELY got the point!!!!
i LOVE how diverse it is in terms of pace, intensity, feel... EVERYTHING! is just always changing... not monotonal at all!!! you have a really nice start then you pick up and then you have a sudden DROP and then pick up again and then return to base and then a final pick up! its SO dynamic... just wonderful, not boring at ALL!
when i listen to music it often makes me see pictures in my head... oh god that concept would be better explained on paper. Lets do coffee and discuss this further. but over all i've noticed a HUGE change in your singing style and i really really like it!

ANYWAYS... as you MAY recall fromt he past, i've always told you that there is something lacking in your music... i used to say "its the beat... monotonal beat" but fuck that... i found a better way of phrazing it cuz you've almost accomplished what i was trying to tell you, in THIS song.
i LOVE how this song has a very gradual but strong pick up (change of pace and intensity) but it feels incomplete somewhat... feels like there should be a stronger climax. the drums were a very nice touch... bongos i'm guessing?
what i like most about this song is the message behind it :)

I listened to 3 of your new songs today... and i feel the need to share with you my praise and critisisms...
Nothing Compares 2 U: is that really you singing? who's the chick? i LOVE the addition of the chick... i listened to it several times to try and figure out if that's really you singing... then i asked myself... why would you put someone elses song up? LOL!
ANYWAY back to the point. What's with the beard? i don't like the beard.... BUT! This song speaks to me louder than any song i've heared in recent months! I think it has a lot to do with mine and Peter's break up and this is an EXACT description...word for word depiction of what i was going through. And i KNOW i'm not the only person who's ever felt that way... there are and will be many others... and you managed to capture that whole experience in a few short minutes. it was a DELIGHT to listen to it.
Also worth noting... you've gone very country on this one... normally i'm not a fan of country sounding anything... but this was just done SO perfectly that i wouldn't WANT to hear it any other way!
