"the first practice buildings shook, the police were called and snow fell...'twas meant to be."
it's an age-old story, really, taking place in the pacific northwest - girl meets girl....girls play instruments....girls embark on a journey throughout the land playing beautiful, heart-wrenching, thoughful, meaningful music.
ok, so it's not really an age-old story.
it should be.
it could be.
is it?
tattle tale was comprised of madigan shive & jen wood. they started making magical acoustic punk music together in 1992. jen was fifteen, madigan seventeen (i think). by 1993, they were already recording & releasing music on independent labels such as killrockstars & yoyo recordings. they were completely acoustic, making music that was so pure & honest it'll stay with you forever. i've read that tattle tale would often set up to play in the middle of their audience so everyone could hear/participate without hierarchy of stage/audience. they continued to record, release, tour, make magic together as tattle tale until mid-'95 when jen decided to move to california. their music continues to circulate & inspire/motivate/mystify/enrapture people everywhere, even though most of their recordings are out of print by now. people seem to share tattle tale's music through some sort of underground indie railroad. trading tapes & cds of this rare, important piece of musical history. most recently, the song "glass vase cello case" from their full-length CD sew true was used as the love theme for the film but i'm a cheerleader. it caused quite a buzz, & everyone wanted to know how to get "that really beautiful song" & find who tattle tale was or how to get their CD.
after the break-up in '95 madigan & jen both started working on solo music & releases. they've both put out quite extensive discographies since then & continue to make amazing music. please check out their individual info pages for more details on their current careers.

Sacred geometry is geometry used in the design of sacred art and architecture. The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical ratios, harmonics and proportion are also found in music, light, and cosmology. This value system is seen as widespread even in prehistory, a cultural universal of the human condition.
