Keep the Grass and Growin' Sincerely; Uncle Billy Dunbar
Hello Tom.I hope this finds you well and you are fine.Just wanted to tell you that you have always been my favorite singer as a child growing up. I still wear out "Greatest Hits" ! As a child growing up it was you, Ronnie milsap, and Charley Pride. Me and my dad, he was from Bell county,Fonde Mtn.KY.on the TN border, a Gaylor, and mom was a Jackson from Harlan KY.we would ride from Cinti.Ohio accross the river (OHIO) down 75 to the Jellico area and I would always say dad: put that Tom T.Hall tape in! and he would. we would sing our way accross the hills of KY!I love the songs and still wear them out! I would dream of meeting you and singing along harmony (practice and fun) along with you as I love each and every one (song).Unique story style writting and singing,I loved it,still do.I liverural, and forthat i'm grateful I can turn it up loud and play harmonica, sing along, knowing every lyric! I hope you are well and wish I could meet you one day.sing along someoldies but goodies. I will never outlive that loved style and those songs! The closest thing would be George. But your songs meant something to me for some reason. The humor, the style? the whole package.Iam vissually impaired and trying to help others now.But I wanted toknow what a influence YOU had on my life as a whole. You set a unique standard, not made by any artist yet.Well I loveyou Tom,and your Music. It is and always will be songs I sing, play along with, and admire. Thanks Tom.Sincerly,Terrence E.Gaylor, God Bless You!
