Halfway through the first decade of the new century brings change to Wolf Eyes.
Wolf Eyes sets out for a West Coast tour on June 6, 2008. Over the
past 10 years, Wolf Eyes has always hit the road with a new batch of
songs which are open to rearrangement, editing or demolishing during
the road/live treatment. This method brings these songs to a fully
developed stage before recording for a new LP. It gives the sound a
worn-in, natural flow while giving us a solid view of the effect the
music has on a live audience. This month-long West Coast tour provides
time to complete this process for our new LP on Hospital Records
(working title "Pretending Alive").
When possible, we will be playing two sets each evening.
Set One will focus on the wandering tempo and temper that has affected
and twisted our rat minds throughout the snakey path of Wolf Eyes. A
live dirge with the usual arsenal of electronics, reeds, vocals and
guitar. This set will also include two new songs - "Live Enemy" (from
the upcoming Michigan box set on Hanson) and "Droll".
Set Two is more violent in content, a natural disaster that includes
new thrashers "Broken Order", "Always Wrong" and a few untitled songs.
Time permitting, we will play older songs "Black Vomit", "Desert of
Glue", "Stabbed in The Face" and more.
Thrash, destruction, suffocation, Wolf Eyes tour 2008.
