The Recorder Club is the power-folk duo of Matt Rocker and Sara Shaoul. They began their musical partnership in 2002, tirelessly touring the alt-folk venues of the East Village and downtown Manhattan. Rocker has long been a performer, songwriter, and producer, and Sara hs gone on to front her own very successful band "O Pioneers", but as The Recorder Club they create a musical bond unique to the duo.
You may have come across them from the Showtime movie "Speak" starring Steve Zahn. The song "Stand Clear" was featured in the film, and during the closing credits.
