Ben Franklin as he left the signing of the constitution was asked "what type of government did you give us" by some one in the crowd. his reply was " A republic, now its your job to keep it." he was then asked " what is the difference between a democracy and a republic?"His reply was"A democracy is when two wolves and a sheep vote on who is for dinner, A republic is when two wolves vote and a well armed sheep has the ability to differ."

Are you a Rambo? It seems like we have more Rambo's now than anything else. A Rambo is someone who is "ready" to fight but not ready to Join the Militia. A Rambo is someone that has their garage packed to the ceiling with ammo but isn't going to help their neighbor in time of need. A Rambo is someone that has all the cool gadgits for their $3000 rifle but doesn't understand that if you stand alone, you will die alone! A rambo thinks that when his house is surrounded by 60 to 100 men that he will take them all out just like he saw in the movies! This isn't the movies and there is no happy ending for those that think they are a rambo.
Why do I bring this all up? We at the Central Texas Militia have been plagued by hundreds of request to join but when the time comes to train or meet only 5 to 10 regulars ever show up. Afterwards I get the excuses that either
Come join us at the Appleseed Project May 16th and 17th 8:30am sharp! Davilla Tx What the RWVA (Revolutionary War Veterans Association) is all about: The Appleseed Program is designed to take you from being a simple rifle owner to being a true rifleman. All throughout American history, the rifleman has been defined as a marksman capable of hitting a man-sized target from 500 yards away — no ifs, ands or buts about it. This 500-yard range is traditionally known as "the rifleman's quarter-mile;" a rifleman can hit just about any target he can see. This skill was particulary evident in the birth of our country, and was the difference in winning the Revolutionary War. What's a rifleman? In short, a rifleman is an armed American, trained in the tradition of American Liberty. It's a man who has learned to shoot a rifle accurately — accurate enough to score "expert" on the Army Qualification Course. Until you can do that, you're considered a "Cook," unprepared and unqualified to carry a rifle on the firing line of freedom. But after attending an Appleseed AQT shoot, you'll have the credentials necessary to be a true rifleman, and will understand the critical need for defending freedom in this country. From Temple Texas take 36E to Rogers. In Rogers take a right at the light on to county road 437. Follow CR437 for 10 miles or so until you get to Farm to Market road 1915 on the left. Take a left on FM1915 and go down one mile and we are on the left hand side of the road. Red triple gates with box A logo on gates. There is a greyhound racing dog ranch right across the street from me.
