   About Otis Badass' Redneck Rampage
.. ..

"We tried to get him to change his name to Grandmaster Cash, but he thought DJ Otis Badass sounded, well, just badass." – Oddus Wright, Cousin, Pikeville, Kentucky

Emerging from parts unknown, DJ Otis Badass has became somewhat of a novelty in Lexington. Armed with records from Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr. and Willie Nelson, DJ Otis Badass has certainly come into his own as one of Lexington's most unique DJ's.

If you think DJ Otis Badass is strictly a honky tonkin' Pabst Blue Ribbon drinking fool, then you need to dig deeper. Don't be surprised to hear Run DMC mixed in with some Black Oak Arkansas. His DJ style is every bit Grandmaster Flash, and his attitude is every bit Johnny Cash.

After fronting the widely popular, but heavily criticized Redneck Rampage Band, Otis Badass knew he wasn't done with music. "I have no rhythm to play an instrument, but what I do have are 2 turntables, cold PBR and a ton of records. It just seemed right to try something different, and I'm not talking about switching beer" says the rowdy redneck rockin' DJ.

Often referred to as the "Voodoo Child of Southern Rock" DJ Otis Badass is more showman than DJ. Guarded by his trusty Staff of Obedience, his free flowing mullet and redneck bling, it's obvious that he is not concerned about his image. His onstage antics are not to be missed. He raps over "Sweet Home Alabama, " scratches to Tanya Tucker songs, drinks PBR, dance with pretty girls to Conway Twitty songs, and yes he will come out and mountain dance with you if you are not careful. As one fan stated, "He is the Flavor Flav of rednecks."

Catch him on a good day, and you may hear him spin some old R&B from yesteryear. He will play music you probably haven't heard in 40 years, and you will not hear anybody else play them except DJ Otis Badass

Odds are you have heard DJ Otis Badass somewhere between Lexington, Northern Kentucky, and Louisville. With gigs at Lower 48, the old Busters Bar, regular gigs at Pops Resale and every week at the Austin City Saloon, in Lexington, DJ Otis is not hard to miss. You have heard him on WKQQ as he constantly calls Dead Air Dennis offering up comical viewpoints on hellraising, beer drinking, and stories of hoggin lore. And if you were lucky enough, you might have been able to catch Thursday Night Slaw as Otis Badass, and a cast of others did radio play by play for some slaw rasslin from Mugbees in Florence, KY.

On Wednesday nights, you can catch him at Austin City Saloon in Lexington as he host Redneck Karaoke. Come up and offer him a PBR, and you here stories of being on the road with Dallas Moore, the countless David Allen Coe shows he has attended, meeting Kid Rock, and the time he hung out with Shooter Jennings.

DJ Otis Badass is also known for his work with biker charity organizations, including Because We Care Charity in Northern Kentucky, which assists children with sever disablities. His work as Master of Ceremonies/DJ for various charities events has certainly made him one of kind.

Attracting fans from all genres of music, it's understandable why the shuckin' and jivin' DJ has started to gain the respect and admiration for what he is doing. He is clearly on a mission to keep the old country music alive, but by adding a new twist to it, he is able to entertain fans of all ages.

If you are looking for Central Kentucky's ONLY Redneck RocknSoul DJ for your next event, look no further than DJ Otis Badass.

"Otis Badass is the Real McCoy. He is THE card you want dealt. He IS the name scrawled on the bathroom stall. He is the 'Moveable Feast' of the local entertainment scene. That's right, the Hemingway of FUN can be yours! I can't even believe you're still reading my endorsement?! C'mon, seriously, for a good time call!' – Dead Air Dennis, WKQQ

"DJ Otis Badass more than just a DJ. Otis puts on a show, a real performance. You should not miss a DJ Otis Badass gig." -Pop, Pops Resale

Don't forget friends, you can catch Otis Badass as he hosts Redneck Karoake every Wednesday night at the Austin City Saloon here LexVegas, KY.

Never in my life have I seen an angel of music like I witnessed last night. I mean lynard skynard, American idol, and keith whitley all in one. It's like he was forged from heavens voice and sent down on angel wings to show us all how truly tonedeaf we really are. God bless songbirds such as he.
