About The Red Pill

The Red Pill is a mostly instrumental fusion trio whose three members also play together in The Blue Pill, Scatterdome, Headlight (formerly Gruv Unit), The Insane Theatre, and Black Rose & The Disciples of Funk. The recordings of The Red Pill currently available are all of jams too long to fit on MySpace without compromising the sound quality. John knew the feller who owned the speedway; and Kevin knew about a bunch of folks in a bunch of cool bands; and together they said, "Hey! Let's get all of our buddies in bands together and have a big hoorah to welcome in Summer!" Co-headlining this festival will be Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, a top-notch, booty-shaking jam band from Big Rapids, and The T-Lo Effect, a sweet progressive rock outfit with jazzy influences from Kalamazoo. Also appearing will be The Lighthouse Commission, Mystic Dub, Paucity, Sprout and The Rusty Thimbles. It's an all ages event. You can camp out in the parking lot! You can bring in up to a 12" X 12" cooler; but no glass, please. We have to be mindful of the youngsters! The intent is to create an alternative-minded festival in a relaxed environment.
