Redshift update!

So... 2008 has been and is almost gone. It's been a really good year for us gig-wise, playing good sized venues such as Barrowlands 2 in Glasgow and The Cavern Club in Liverpool. As always a huge thankyou goes out to all our fans and supporters.

We have recently decided that the time is right for us to finally record the debut album we've been promising for ages, so to that end we will be concentrating on rehearsal and studio work for the time being. Recordings are pencilled in for spring 2009 so hopefully we'll be back to rock your socks off again by the summer!

There will be periodic updates on the progress of the album posted here when there is news to report.

About the band...

All originally hailing from Dumfries in their formative years, the band are now split between Dumfries and Glasgow where the members currently work.

All of the band are experienced live performers with a wide extent of influences, and are enjoying the new burst of energy the band has had in recent months. With the well established partnership of Jamie, Scott and John, and following the addition of Rob on bass and Gaz on the drums, the band have been driving forward with some heavy and funky tunes that'll hopefully really get the crowds going.

The band have recently been recording again, so keep your ears peeled for the tunes on the page in the coming weeks.

Is this how our liberty dies?.......

While it's not always a good idea to introduce political viewpoints into the musical arena, sometimes events dictate that we not remain silent on certain issues where important questions should be asked.

One shining example of this is the horrific events of September 11th 2001. There have been many direct consequences of this, including the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq, not to mention the gradual & systematic erosion of our civil liberties in the western world.

Many people are now waking up to the fact that the official account of what happened that day simply does not add up & are beginning to ask the questions that the US & UK governments either cannot or will not answer. The fall of the twin towers themselves occurred at almost free fall speed in a manner consistent with a professional demolition job. Building 7, which had not been hit by any debris at all & which exhibited only small fires, fell in the same suspicious manner around seven hours after the towers themselves.

Scientific analysis of residue found on the steel from the towers was found to contain the chemical signature of thermate, the demolition version of thermite, which cuts through structural steel like the proverbial knife through butter!

We ask not that anyone take our word for any of this, only that if you have any interest in the events of that terrible day & the consequences of it, you do your own research & draw your own conclusions.
