Russell has been singing Gospel Music all his life. In 1998, Russell attended the Steve Hurst School Of Music in Nashville TN. After a long and successful solo career, Russell recorded his first Gospel album in 2003 after the release of his first hit single If Any Man Has An Ear, Let Him Hear. Russell believes in spreading the word of the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Along with his solo career, he sings bass with The Reed Family Singers.
Richard is a Chaplain at the Springfield Rescue Mission, Springfield, Massachusetts. There they have a residential program for men, many of whom are homeless and/ or addicted and without hope. Our desire is to give them hope through introducing them to Jesus Christ. He received Jesus as my Savior in 1970 while in school in Florida. He attended Florida Bible College, in Hollywood, Fla. and later graduated with a B.S. degree from Lancaster Bible College. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1975 and has pastored two churches- one in New Jersey and one in Massachusetts. He has a MA degree in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana and just received his doctorate from Masters Divinity School. He married his lovely wife Ginny in 1973, and has 3 great kids: Rick, Russell, and Judi and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Alex, Erica and Melanie.
Virginia Reed is a long-time nurse, and along with Russell, she manages the group, and takes care of most of the bookings.
The Reed Family Singers got started in 2000. They perform Southern Gospel Music, and have performed at The Russell Community Church and The Westfield Alliance Church.
Our Bass Singer Russell Reed is a long-time singer/songwriter who has a solo career on the side. He can often be seen doing double duty at our performances. His song If Any Man Has An Ear, Let Him Hear has opened doors for himself and the group in the Gospel Music field, and is currently his most downloaded song.
Our Lead Singer Richard Reed has been ordained since 1975, and has served at many churches. He is currently a chaplain at The Springfield Rescue Mission, and is available for pulpit supply whenever needed.
Our Alto Singer Virginia Reed is a long-time nurse, and along with Russell, she manages the group, and takes care of most of the bookings.
Unfortunately, Rick is not always available to perform with us. In that case, it is just Richard, Ginny, and Russell singing (which happens a lot). In that case, we are The Reed Family Trio

The songs you hear were produced by Rick Reed & edited by Russell Reed. They do not appear on CD due to the fact that copyrighted soundtracks were used. To hear other songs by members of The Reed Family, go to myspace.ReedFamily.us.
Here is a little slide show from REEDFAMILYMUSIC.COM to help you get more familiar with the group and the family. This slide show was made using Microsoft Powerpoint by Russell Reed.
