The Reid Project featuring Butterscotch is an established local musical collective. The Reid Project is a group of musicians whose background covers blues, jazz, r&b, pop, funk and everything in between. Lead vocalist Butterscotch is a blues singer and a true entertainer.
The Reid Project featuring Butterscotch has been hosting an established musicians night every Thursday for nine years now as well as playing the local club and festival scene.
We participated in the 4th annual Kentstage Blues festival with Sonny Robertson and the Howard Street Band.

The Reid Project was started over ten years ago by Lonnie Reid, Terry Reid, and Butterscotch as the core of the house band for Cleveland's legendary music club, House of Swing, for its Thursday night musicians night. At that time we had no idea that the band would take on a liife of its own that was much more than the sum of its parts. The Reid Project started blurring the lines between blues, R&B, funk, and jazz to the point where no one could really tell what type of music the Reid Project played. The photos in the My Photos section are snap shots from over the years of Thursday night musicians night at the House of Swing.
The Thursday night musicians night is still in full force and some of the musicians who have participated over the years includes bassist extrordinare Bill Dickens, drummer Greg Bandy, legendary pianist Bobby Few, and Hammond B3er Pierre Swared.
Although Butterscotch is not as active as she once was, she is still a member of the Reid Project and is as saucy as ever. The current configuration is:
