The RejectKid is a one-man-band based in London, England.
His interest in music started at an early age, with the drums and recorder in Primary School. He moved onto the acoustic guitar, then the bass guitar and drums, properly in Secondary School. He took lessons but also started to write the beginning of the songs you hear today. He aquired a second-hand bass and began learning the basslines to popular songs, most of them he has forgotten, but this gave him more of an understanding to the structure of playing and writing songs. .............................................................
He was a quiet child, always standing at the back, trying not to be noticed. Years passed and so did jobs until he decided to get abit more serious about his songwriting. Taking a part-time sound engineering course, showed him the limitations of his ability. Equipment came and went until the procurement of a digital 8-track recorder. Finally a chance to vocalise thoughts and feelings in a coherent manner. And songs were created. Nights were spent and melodies used to feed the soul. But something was wrong. They were not right. Out of time and out of tune, the world was tilted on it's axis. What went wrong?????????????...................................................
After resisting the lure of the digital age, an Apple Mac Powerbook was welcomed into the family and the world was right once more. Songs that were out of time and out of tune were fixed and improved. Thoughts that were jumbled and confused, found a place in time. Most of the songs that are posted on this site were created in the feverish imagination of a young boy. These feelings have not gone away, they have been magnified and filtered. The name The Reject Kid was not picked by accident, a random collection of words. Oh no, he choose them for a reason. He needs to put the demons to bed, to lay them to rest.
Ridiculed, ignored and rejected, the boy standing at the back of the room needs to be heard.
