we broke up back in 2000. we played for a few years. we tried hard.
"band of mine, i miss the good ol' days of playing our old worn pop punk tunes in that garage of nick's. ill miss the days of hanging out downtown after practice putting up fliers in the freezing cold, goddamn the duct tape that kept rolling back on the roll and my too-short fingernails that couldn't pull it back up. i miss dropping that pick during the middle of our song at the show at clo's and missing a line. that argument over that story of that stupid goddamned toy cat that i just had to tell and i felt like a prick. i threw my guitar down and left the stage. later i came back and we played and played until my throat lost it's balance and the tone left me in shock. i thank you ben for inspiration. thank you nick because i hope that you know that i respect you for everything you've ever done. thank you kevin for making that last few months so funny and so relatable. i relate. thank you everyone who watched us play, supported us in anyway, and came to this page.
the last song has been played, the last dance has been made.

yes, it is true. we're actually practicing tonight for the first time in....wait, did we ever practice? anyway, yup. it all goes down sept. 5th. which one of you reliables is this. jeremy?....call me 508-5516. we'll hang....
this page and the music playing from it take me back to the glorious high school days of shut up donny, the reliables, the tonkas, and the ten thousand other "the" bands from maria carrillo. it fills me with an unexpected desire to play pop punk again - simpler music for a simpler time, to be sure.
