About The Remedies

We are a hip-hop and funk group from Edinburgh, Scotland. We have quickly gone from playing many small local bars and clubs to having had recent guest appearances on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio Scotland and radio plays on Zebra Traffics "The Dugout". In the past we have supported Guru from Gangstarr, Fingathing and Broke 'N' English

Basically…we’re trying to release our first e.p. We have brand new tracks waiting to be recorded and some good gigs lined up. There is definitely a platform now to move this kind of mellow, more leftfield hip hop into focus. We plan to play gigs in and around Europe next year and look for distribution for our e.p. After our e.p we’re going to make a start on our first album - we’ve got some great artwork being provided by some talented local artists. We’ve already made a start on further solo projects and collaborations as part of the broader 17th letter community. On top of that we run a regular live event called ‘Freshmode’ involving improvisations and open mics to be ran monthly at the City Café, Edinburgh. We will continue our involvement with New Found Sound, an Edinburgh based company designed to promote new local music. All in all we plan to keep busy. There is a completely unique hip hop culture in Scotland and we’ve had the pleasure to be a part of it and watch it expand. Peace Remedies
