Hey I'm glad you guys are still making real records unlike other bands and people. I think it would be really awesome if you did a tour with Jason Lytle (ex. Grandaddy). You both make wonderful music and write some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. I'm loving Chapter 2 of Songs About Time.
I love the new EP's. I just bought both of them, i love it. My fav is Late Night Confessions. It is soo beautiful, true work of the Rentals! You are the best band out there period. Wheres Ben though?? God i love him and you to Matty!! Muwahha
Why does this have to be so difficult? I have the money just so I can listen to the rentals in my car, but it has to be marred by useless film and pictures. Hey, I wrote my first song about time ( sorry that's sort of cheesy)! As I wrote it, it made me think of you guys. I had each stanza revolve around the number 8. Happy Halloween!!!!
Dude.....they just played part of 'Getting By' off of Seven More Minutes on David Letterman's show when they were talking about the world series. They played it twice. Fuck yeah. I was awestruck and shit. :)
Hey ladies and gents, Thanks for the add. I'm quite impressed by the video for "It's Time to Come Home". Rarely do I see a music video that actually adds dimension to a song rather than placing it into a context that forcefully and often (seemingly)thoughtlessly directs my imagination, trivializing the song itself. I find that karoking NWA lyrics over Van Halen songs works out pretty good. My question is, what song would I use for Barcelona? I was thinking Neil Diamond's Song Sung Blue would be adequate if nothing else. What would be your suggestions?

Well worth the long wait. Iguess it wasnt that long since LLL EP but it seems like a long time to me. The 2 songs I just listened to have an awesome sound. I was in the waiting room at the hospital today and I thought about a song off of 7 minutes. At home tonight I thought of another song off 7 minutes. I almost started digging through my cd's to find it. Rentals R A+
I must admit that your new songs really speak to me; both EPs. I feel that I can fully relate to the point of what you endeavor at with this project on a emotional and personal level. You are truly artists and I appreciate the maturity and effort that you put into your art. There are very few people who can impact music and inspire creativity the way that The Rentals do.
