The brainchild of Nathan Hunter, this small-time electronica function sits on the cusp of growth, a growth into something large.
Though just in it's beginning phases, The Repeat Prophecy is beginning to get noticed as a notable techno project, one that combines electronica with a sense of musicality not usually heard from the genre.
Although the journey is just beginning, feel free to come along for the ride. Hopefully, it will be a long one.
Nathan Hunter The Repeat Prophecy
-ABOUT THE ARTIST-
My name is Nathan Hunter. I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1988. I grew up in a musical family and believe that all music should come from the heart and not from the wallet. I've moved around quite a bit since birth, having lived in 6 states and relocated more than 20 times. Music is pretty much an extension of my soul and keeps me going through the good times and the bad. I'm currently a culinary major at Johnson & Wales university. Hopefully, this career path will fund my musical adventures. I currently live in Fort Mill, SC, a five-minute drive from Charlotte, NC.
-ABOUT THE SOUND-
The sound comes from years of studying different music techniques. The sound has many influences and takes up the sound of many different styles of techno. I've made songs that fit many genres, including trance, eurodance, house, synthpop, synthrock, disco, and happy hardcore, just to name a few. In fact, I didn't start even listening to techno until I was in middle school. I pretty much owe my entire music career to Daft Punk's Discovery album. I draw most of my inspiration from Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Gabriel & Dresden, VNV Nation, and Tiesto. However, I experiment with a She Wants Revenge-style synthrock sound from time to time.
It happened when i had the chance to travel to see VNV Nation and now it happened again when KMFDM is comming to town....I got ditched. How you been? Musics still awesome, hopefully some new stuff soon?
haha, Nick and I were just discussing yesterday how cool both of your sounds would go together. :) So do you think it'll be a new version of one of your original songs, or something fresh?
