In 2004 George Issakidis launched The Republic of Desire, releasing two of his own
12-inches and a single from Midnight Mike, before lapsing into radio silence. In the meantime, Issakidis gave Output's Colder the rave remix treatment and teamed up with Speedy J for two Collabs singles, while James Holden and Damian Lazarus both kept the desire alive by licensing unreleased Issakidis cuts for their accalaimed mix cds;
At The Controls
("Hotter Now" Stripped Down Mix) and Suck My Deck ("Into Your Life" Midnight Mike Remix). Finally, the Republic of Desire - a name that fairly reflects Issakidis and his music's ecstatic inclinations.
Midnight Mike has now offically joined the label in A&R capacity and has already signed some exciting new artists. The fantastic artwork is designed by Parisian duo M/M.
