Thomas Jefferson's advice to his 15-year-old nephew:
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."
Noah Webster, 1787:
"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops. "

The picture you commented on was actually I-45. We were headed into Galveston last Thursday. There is a Cajun restaurant on the seawall called Benno's that we love to go to. Best Cajun ever! I hope they will be back in business soon. Yes, we always carry gospel tracts everywhere we go. You never know who you might run into and there are always places to leave them. Here is the link to one of my favorite tracts to hand out. Have blessed day!http://www. evangelicaloutreach. org/heavenhell. pdf
I don't know what my mom was saying to Kevin in that picture of Kevin and Mom, but I thought it was such a cute picture because it looked like Kevin was thinking, "Oh my goodness...I'm getting married today!"
What Satan fears most Is a man on his knees; Not vast marching armies With great weaponry. He knows he can stand Against the power of men; To engage us in battle Is mere sport to him. But a man on his knees With his head bowed in prayer Is something quite different To the prince of the air. For when he sees us in prayer To our God most high, He knows we have seen Through his devilish lies. A man on his knees; And we'll keep him trembling If our prayers never cease. We need to realize that there is a war constantly going on in the spiritual realm. The devil does not want you happy, blessed and rejoicing in the Lord, but rather depressed, in debt and blaming God for all the wrong that is going on in your life. The enemy will try anything he can to separate you from having a relationship with the Lord and he is very successful at bringing problems our way in order to keep our mind on anything and everything except God. That is why it is all the more important that we have a strong and committed prayer life. If the devil constantly sees you in prayer and always asking guidance and wisdom from the Lord to help in your situation, then the enemy knows his power has become ineffective against your life. You need to recognize that is the enemy trying to get in and destroy what you have and just as you would fight to get a burglar out of your home, you need to fight that spiritual war by praying, fasting, speaking forth the scriptures of authority and rebuking the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." I encourage you to not sit idly by and let the enemy win, but rather stand strong and take back what the enemy stole in the name of Jesus Christ, in whom has all power and dominion, forever and ever, Amen.
Matthew 5-3-12 KJV Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
May God bless and guide you in all things Grace and peace in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior Anne
