“The Resolution Demo” The Resolution
(MySpace.com/theresolutionsound)
You’ve got to love it when a Staten Island band’s MySpace page answers the “sounds like” category with “1997.” Obviously, this bans is interested enough in what they’re doing to not be worried about making the music of the future. But local punk/emo-influenced quartet The Resolution have, in their living room, managed to record a promising 6-song demo. It’s far from hi-fi, and too backloaded – the first few tracks are less developed than the rest – but racing drums, catchy, distorted grooves and tortured vocals from guitarist Mike Cibelli and drummer Tom Connors make for some good tunes. The breakdown on “Adora,” apparently about a tough relationship and “Selfish Little Dare,” both offer up well crafted music from all the players. Resolution: Get thee to a recording studio.
its gonna be a fucking good time hopefully if we bring enough people out to this show the owner is basically gonna give us free range to do whatever we want there in the future
so if you guys know any bands tell them to come out
