Thanks a lot...really glad you like it. I don't think we could let ourselves put the same music out over and over again. Actually I believe the sound you hear is just volume swells and not an ebow, I'll have to check with Aaron though. This EP will be about the same length I believe, give or take a couple minutes.
May God Bless you in all you do! Great songs! Thanks for the Add! Check out my tunes when you get a chance, and Please let your friends know both my worship rock CD's are for sale now on my site! These were co-produced by Ron Davis the engineer on the Grammy/Dove award winning CD “Shout to the Lord!” I've also got some FREE DOWNLOADS, God Bless!
hi chris!!! i just go to whatever service fits best into the day! I enjoy the 6 o'clocker though. I'm glad you like it! thanks for the kind words and such. until we meet again! -sarah
yeah, it gets really annoying, but you get used to the click after a while. really, the only time its a big hassle is when we record guitars...vocals and drums both have headphones on when they record, so its not a big deal. glad you dig the stuff!
yeah its going good man.. i'm on rotation on the christian radio station up here, so getting monthly royalty checks. then i've been doing alot of production and co-writing with some artists in vancouver bc. my publishing company just went under so i am free from them, i'm actually shopping around for a new agent, we'll see how things turn out. BUT i'm a worship/youth pastor now, so all the new songs i write are more purpose-driven. all the best
Yeah, its a definite adjustment...between you and me, we accidentally recorded it 5 bpm faster than the original...but we decided to keep it since it flows with the EP way better. Wait til you hear the whole thing!
two of the original demos 'paradise lost and the great fire' were recorded with a producer here named geoff rockwell. he's pretty good, has done forever the sickest kids, memphis may fire, sky eats airplane. to the wayward wife was recorded by our bass player, casey. he's got a studio (in our top friends) 'impact recording'.
the unreleased ep we just recorded was in tennessee at first street studios with tyler orr and cody bonnette.
Mike, first off, thank you so much for paying attention to our meaning and message. We're honored to be an inspiration to others. Actually really stoked that you took influence from us for that song. I think you have caught on that to be truely happy creating music you have to do it first for yourself and your beliefs, and then for others. When I write lyrics to a song I think about how my life has been affected by the things I believe, and then how I can affect others postively by those things. Keep on creating music man. I'm stoked to hear what else you come up with!
Today I´m just stopping by to let You know that my current album "With All My Heart" as well as some previous CDs of mine are finally available for download in all iTunes stores worldwide. A lot of people have asked me if mp3s were available for download. Now they are. Enjoy!!!
And here is a word for the day:
"Whatever is true, whatever is noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever You have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." (Phil 4, 8-9).
As we are about to celebrate Easter, I wanted to send You the lyrics of a song I wrote a long time ago as a reminder of God´s unconditional love.
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
For there can´t be a greater love than to lay down your life for a friend
The wheel of history´s turning, as he forgives in pain
In meekness and humility there dies the son of man
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a priceless treasure, not a billion words could explain
He´s called “a friend of sinners”, though he is pure in heart
If he was not a sinner´s friend, my friend he could not be
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a God of mercy, amazing is his grace
With words of deep affection He is knocking at my door
That I might listen and adore the greatest friend of all
thanks for being myspace friends!!! And let us encourage one another in trusting in God´s providence and kindness ...
"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God ... Live as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth, and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
Wow, I'm constantly surprised by the amount of talent amongst our coworkers in our job. Jonny and his band, Jay's a sick slide guitarist, and you. If you're this good on guitar, I can't wait to hear your bass riffs. You're welcome to jam with my band anytime.
