Please Help Save Our Theatre. In 2001, Victor Sobchak and Andy McQuade founded a theatre company at the Lion and Unicorn in Kentish Town. Over the years we have supported young actors, new writers, up and coming directors and entertained many thousands of people with bold and original theatre. In June, 2008, George Sallis, an actor who Sobchak gave his first theatre break to, surreptitiously contacted the owners of the Lion and Unicorn and offered them large amounts of money to take over the theatre. The owners accepted. It was an offer Victor Sobchak wasn't able to match. We're fighting back. Please sign our petition and help make a strike for what is good and right in this world. Many thanks http://www. ipetitions. com/petition/boycottthelionandunicorntheatre/
If you care about theatre - or just hate it when the rich think they can own anything they want - at the expense of other people's lives and happiness, PLEASE pass this on to those you know will care too.

Since time immortal, humans have found various ways to communicate. With the advent of writing, civilization as a whole has grown and expanded in knowledge. If it were not for the written word, we would know so little of the various cultures before us, and it is imperative that we too, leave our ‘footprint in the sand’ of history today, enabling future generations to know and understand us.
I do hope you and your friends will visit me at my site, where I feature some of the most celebrated, avante garde artists, producers, and writers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
