   About The Revelator Band
A rag-tag Band, this. Bolting from disparate corners of time, space and Yorkshire, a new group emerges from the moonlit night to take centre stage in the quest for a true alternative to Alternative. Our destination? Uncharted territory, new and familiar. We are here to find and explore the heart and soul of All Things. Pounding drums and tall stories, bodyshaking tunes with depth and truth, a Band - The Band - you can dance AND think with. We have not been here very long. But let us in and we will stay with you forever.

Twilight Terror II
Witness such fabulous sounds and visions in the gloomy twilight!
Saturday 9th February at The Library, Leeds

On the bill….
.: Miranda Arieh :.
....amazing acoustic act with songs with a voice that is sometimes a little girl,
sometimes mumm-ra the ever living....

.: Madame Laycock’s Dabañero Pleasures :.
....the kind of all-girl gypsy circus freak show that you have always wanted to see,
get psyched with the um-pa-pa of the accordion....

.: Silverlode :.
....the crooked, dark sounds of the mind-bending skiffle-prog-pop
complete with the hellish black and silver war paint....

.: Insect Guide :.
....dreamy sounds, blissful songs and mysterious alluring visions,
look on in wonder....

.: The Revelator Band :.
....fare the storm with the good ship revelator as the gothic blues and
the victorian soul unfolds and the captain steals your hearts....

There'll be projections and of course everyone’s favourite indie schmindie pop
House Concerts (York)

Jan 27 2008 2:00 PM

The multi talented singer-songwriter and Willy Mason collaborator NINA VIOLET has just aarranged to play a House Concert here next Wednesday 30th January.

She is playing with Willy Mason's brother Sam, Matthew Cullen, and Colin Ruel - yes drums for the first time at a house gig ! They played lived on BBC Radio last Thursday.

She played a great gig up at the Band Room last year - so if you missed her there, or would like to see her again in a great environment then come along. They played with Willy Mason on his last tour of bigger venues, the Cockpit in Leeds &c.

Starts 8.30pm - bring your own drink as usual - and all for an amazing £3.00 - how good is that !

So hints of Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams - plus the outrageously engaging Sam Mason - and one great night promised.

reply to this asap as this will go quickly as word gets out via their website - or ring on 07960 350909 (this may go to voicemail as I'm out and about at the moment)

Two fine acoustic gigs for your listening pleasure......

Tuesday 29th January.....

A supreme alt-folk and country writer in her own right, Nina Violet has also collaborated with Willy Mason.

and Wednesday 30th January.....

Monkey Swallows The Universe singer Nat Johnson is taking full advantage of her bands hiatus performing solo. Showcasing a beautiful voice and delicate songs this is sure to be a treat. Plus an array of quality local supports.

Best, Si

Great show at the Carpe Diem, when is the next port of call for the good ship prevelator? Ignore that landlubber Chief Whip he needs a good keel hauling and doesn't know difference between port and starboard.Anytime you're looking for new crew members give me a call...but no press gangs. thanks. Me and Cat Presley(local legend in his own head)saw you in Leeds on Saturday night and thought you were great. Loved the blend of Punk and dirty blues...and The Captain is a brilliant frontman. I will be spreading the word and looking out for when you're playing again. (Have you got anything booked?)ps I,m trying to encourage The Cat to get a top hat!
