THE TRUTH ABOUT FRED LANE:

Fred Lane was the singing alter ego for dada sculptor T.R. Reed. He made 3 albums in the 70's and early 80's, and was set to release a 4th, Ice Pick To The Moon, which never materialized. Now he does his sculptures full time and tours art shows in the south selling them. There is a website for his art, http://www.odd-creachter.com/creachterkinetics/index.html where you can find out more. He does really strange and wonderful whirligig-creature sculptures like these:

I wrote him a letter about 10 years ago and received a hilarious letter back written on a napkin, with a catalog of his sculptures. I am sorry to anyone who thought this was really Fred Lane doing this page. I basically just wanted to have his pretty face on my own page, but wow. He actually has some fans out there. Anyway. Let danger be your beer.

Sheik Ben Camel played a mean shortwave radio and the Rev. Lane sang an inspired Wild Thing as he played with a toy German Shepherd. Ah,those were the days of good clean fun.

Pigmin) comment below - don't let him fool you, the "drinking" was a frustrated attempt at catching the attention of 'Stranger Than Fiction' star, Will Ferrell, when Pigmin was working as his stand-in and body-double on the set. If this doesn't seem to make sense, message "Erik" for the details...., and if it does, message him anyway. He has quite a story to tell regarding the "Hittite" connection to this whole scene.
