THE TRUTH ABOUT FRED LANE:

Fred Lane was the singing alter ego for dada sculptor T.R. Reed. He made 3 albums in the 70's and early 80's, and was set to release a 4th, Ice Pick To The Moon, which never materialized. Now he does his sculptures full time and tours art shows in the south selling them. There is a website for his art, http://www.odd-creachter.com/creachterkinetics/index.html where you can find out more. He does really strange and wonderful whirligig-creature sculptures like these:

I wrote him a letter about 10 years ago and received a hilarious letter back written on a napkin, with a catalog of his sculptures. I am sorry to anyone who thought this was really Fred Lane doing this page. I basically just wanted to have his pretty face on my own page, but wow. He actually has some fans out there. Anyway. Let danger be your beer.

Lonikate	Aug 7 2009 8:28 PM I actually received a stuffed Uterus exactly like the one in your top friends this last Valentine's Day. It was recalled later due to the choking hazard posed by the wires in the falopian tubes. I decided it was probably safe for me so I did not return the item per the recall instructions... It is now the mascot for the play I am directing, Stop Kiss (a lesbian love story). I encouraged my cast to come up with a more creative moniker than "Flo" but that is what seems to be sticking.
