High 5's and Hell Yeahs are a rock n roll band formed in Morgantown in late 2007. Consisting of members from past bands around the state they all got together in Motown to start rocking. Scott was previously in Bruce Lee Hand job, Adam being in New Clear Future, and Bruce Lee Handjob from down south. Nate was in the Premature Ejaculators, the Slow Boys, and The Flying Hellfish to name a few. Brian was the last drummer for Motown locals Truck Grind Your Face. Initially jamming at the old Hellfish house in Westover they started getting shows with the Flying Hellfish and other local bands that play 123 Pleasant St. From there they have played 123 and other venues with local bands, those on tour and a band from Japan. In August 2008 Nate took a job in MD that he couldn't refuse but that hasn't impacted the band. Currently Scott, Adam and Brian jam regularly in South Park and when Nate visits they all get together. All studio recordings were done at the Hellfish house back in March of 2008. It was done with a Fostex Digital 8-Track. The live recordings were done in the summer of 2008 at 123 Pleasant St. A self titled EP was recorded with Jon Cavendish at Bassmint studios July 17 and 18 2009, in Charleston WV, and is scheduled for release in late August, early September. But because we're nice dudes, we went ahead and put them on the space JUST FOR YOU!

Hey guys! I've started posting songs to The WV Scene Playlist, but need the help of all the WV Area bands to decide how the Playlists should be done. I'd really appreciate it if you took part in the poll I've posted on The WV Scene myspace page. After all this is a site meant to look after the best interests of the artists whether they be professional or just beginning. (Be sure to add our activity stream so that we can better communicate what it is we're trying to do).

Hope the recording session went well. Hopefully the producer allowed full creative control for album. Did he get you hooked on heroin or coke? Then you'll become iconic and worshiped like Poison or Winger.
