About The Revolters

The Revolters is an indie band hailing from Istanbul. Lead singer and guitarist Serhat Erman, synths and guitarist Berkan Tomay, bassist Ibrahim Kent and drummer Murat Sahin came together in summer of 2006 and wrote many songs. Touted as "very promising and breath taking" by the many music magazine, The Revolters have etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop of Istanbul musical scene's most promising breaking buzz bands. Istanbul based indie rockers, still in their early 20s came together sharing influences from Joy Division to The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party to The Libertines. Confident, charming, giddy and energetic have been used to describe the group's impressive live performances. The band has been plugged as "amiable and watchable as a rock band can get". "Step by Step" debuted The Revolters as an instant radio hit winning airplay from national and regional stations as well as widespread press acclaim. The track also brought the band to the attention of The White, as well as becoming a part of an indie compilation which was produced by Allan Robinson ,an iconic figure in late 70’s Manchester music arena. Next up was noticing by many international talent agents and labels. The band has been invited to play in nationwide and big festivals as Masstival , MTV Alternative Music Nation Festival and many reputated college festivals all over the country in 2008. The band has been invited to Gosh Summer Concerts in London for 2009 Summer
