A lifelong disciple of music and performer since the age of 9, The Rev made the decks his pulpit in 1999. Since then he has maintained an active role in the underground dance music scene in New York. While studying as a student of music technology at NYU, he headed their electronic music club, hosting parties and informational sessions. He quickly got involved throwing loft parties and outlaws with the Machinati crew and his own endeavour, Underground Funk Initiative. Today he continues his mission to push underground sounds and ideas as a member of the Wonderland Collective.
In 2002 he held his first residency at Guernica and began working with international techno label Gotham Grooves, where he soon became editor of their newsletter Future Frequencies. The following year he linked up with the Simply Bangin crew, doing events at lounges around New York City, including a residency at Liquids. That year he also began a stint working for TopDJGear.
He has given sermons in a multitude of New York City warehouses, lofts, lounges, parks, rooftops and underneath its bridges, and even at the legendary Tronic Treatment party. His mission has spread as far as Barcelona, Detroit, Philadelphia and Boston and has included apperances alongside Cave, Frankie Bones, Marco Bailey, Adam Jay, Adam X, Agent Orange, Supah DJ Dmitri, and Jason Jinx.
His original productions will also be featured in the upcoming independent film Trust & Devotion.
The Rev is dedicated to preaching the gospel of funk in all its many forms. Be it funky techno, warm electro, pounding hard techno, bouncy minimal, dirty tweaked out techno, or even some deep disco house, anything is fair game. Whatever style he chooses, he strives to make sure his tracks have something special that separate them from the countless uninventive records that sound the same.

Back from his tour leaping around country to country from England, Sardinia/Corsica-Italy, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Amsterdam, and the United States, Avex Axiom Has compiled and developed a sound that he has found for this EP that is a direct reflection of what he saw moving the crowds though out his tour. "As soon as I got back to the studio here in Chicago, I knew exactly the direction I wanted to pursue and have never been more excited to see where techno is right NOW". This EP is some of his best work and we have been assured that this is only the beginning.
