I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
We appreciate that you're doing your own thing and glad that you're our friend!
I wanted to share an insight that I had recently. Blood Root Mother really believe in the power of music. Genuine music transcends all limitations and boundaries, and happens when musicians and listeners are communicating with one another on the deepest level possible. In a society overcome by an obsession with flashy images and stale radio hits, we seek to do something that shakes the foundation of the status quo. Since the dawn of human civilization, music has been about sharing humanity and truly connecting with others. So stay connected with us, and join us on our journey.
Peace, Elliot
The artistic activity does not lie in art itself as such. It penetrates into a deeper world in which all art forms flow together, and in which the harmony of soul and cosmos in the nothing has its outcome in reality. -Bruce Lee
Hi, My name is Patrick Callan, I just put out my first full length record-"Tales of a Folk Punk Nothing" on Blanket Statement Records.
It was recorded in the dead of winter 2009 and was released May 8th. I put a lot of heart into it.
Please listen to the songs I have up on my page, if you like what you hear, you can buy the record through snocap( The itunes competitor that screws over artists less).
As my label is small, at the moment all profits from the record go towards funding future projects, tours, etc. like the new record from my friends Turn Back Now! out June 25th.

Hey The Richards, May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. Your wonderfully bright soul keep the demons from torturing me. In your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch. What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams.
