Jason and Beth Richard moved to Austin, Texas to pursue their career in music. Shortly thereafter they formed the band Quatropaw with Derek Hatley & David Warren and went on to win Spin Magazine's Best Unsigned Band contest. At their SXSW showcase they were picked up by British label Neptune Records and released critically acclaimed albums, Red, Flight and Live at the Hole in the Wall. During this time, Quatropaw won a Rolling Stone song contest, toured extensively and with a grassroots following and radio play and video play on local Austin stations won many Austin Music Awards. The band went on to sign with Electric Factory Records. They developed a harder sound and became The Addictions. Over the next two years, The Addictions recorded their self titled debut album and supported it through touring, video and television play on A & E's series Rollergirl, MTV2, national radio, Sirius Radio, and ABC's Regis and Kelly. Songwriting team Jason and Beth Richard returned to their singer/songwriter roots and began The Richards a pop, electro, harmony driven sound. The single "Feather" is the first of many to be released on Electric Factory Records.
