.. .. For booking Inquiries, email ...... Booking@rickcarterproject.com.... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ................................ .......... ..Rick Carter.. has been drumming on the Atlanta music scene since the 80's. He has played blues, jazz, rock hard rock, swing blues, and country rock. Like his long time friend and music companion Sean Carmichael (lead guitar) he grew up on the Beatles and all the Rock n Roll greats. Some of his favorite drummers include John Bonham, Simon Phillips and Matt Abts. He has played with Atlanta guitar great Barry Richman, and has been in various bands such as the Boneshakers (a band he formed in the early 90's with his friend guitarist Tom Kessler) the Dillon James band, Mama Ruth's Kitchen, The Terry Flynn band, and the Nick Savage band. Several years ago he met Mac Quillian. Together they began a plan to form a blues-rock band. Co-founder Mac takes the lead vocalist and front man position. Mac also writes the original material and plays assorted musical toys. Rick takes this moment to thank Mac, Tom, Sean, and Doug for taking this musical journey with him. Thanks my brothers - I couldn't do this without your support and incredble musical talents. .. .......... ..Mac Qullian.. is the front man and lead singer in The Rick Carter Project. He and Rick met a little over 3 years ago and decided to put together a blues-rock band featuring some great covers and some original material that he had written. Mac grew up in the South listening to all the southern greats like The Allman Brothers and Stillwater. His other influences include Rush, AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and every other singer that drove a crowd wild. Mac sings with fire and passion. He also plays some acoustic guitar on two of the bands original songs and other assorted musical toys through out the night. .. ...... .. ..Tom Kessler.. Native of Pennsylvania, Tom brought his talents to Atlanta and first hooked up with Rick Carter as part of the Boneshakers back in '93. Since then, he has been in a series of local bands including Smokestack Lightning, shared the stage with local favorite Barry Richman and opened up for Ronnie Earl and for Tinsley Ellis. Tom has joined up to provide the driving guitar riffs for Rick's latest effort, the Rick Carter Project. Tom's influences are Jimi Hendrix, Toni Iomi, and Jimmy Page. .. ...... ....Sean Carmichael.. has been playing for over 40 years, one of the thousands and thousands who learned to play in the wake of the Beatles invasion of the U.S. His main influences include the mighty British triumvirate of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck, as well as Leslie West, Pete Townshend, and many others. Began his professional career way back in 1976 playing with high school mate ..Jamie Hoover.. then went on to spend several years with the hard rocking Raleigh NC band, ..Cirkus... Leaving the road behind after some 1,500+ shows, Sean took a several year hiatus from playing out anywhere until he was enticed to start jamming with the Discover Music All-Stars, an ever-evolving cast of characters playing fairly regularly after hours at the now sadly defunct Discover Music store featuring our very own Rick Carter. Went on to play with Rick for several more years in Mama Ruth's Kitchen and then the Terry Flynn Band. Now a proud member of The Rick Carter Project, he wants to know, "where's my Moon Pies?" .. .... .... Fred Romanus.. began playing bass in the late 60's. He has played with bands in his native New England as well as in South Florida. The newest member of the band lists James Jamerson and John Entwhistle as his early influences and Nashville virtuoso Adam Nitti as his current favorite. When not playing with the Rick Carter Project, you will find Fred fly fishing or at the Atlanta Bass Gallery... .. .. .... ..Check out more ..Myspace layouts.. at ..pYzam................... .. .. .. ..
