Was für ein Auftakt mit dem stampfenden, die Four Horsemen ins Gedächtnis rufenden Black Jack Mama und Cassie, bei dem unverkennbar die Georgia Satellites Pate gestanden haben! Danach geht's im musikalischen Land der Kentucky Headhunters mit 10.000 Years weiter. Mexican Rodeo, ist ein flotter Boogie, dessen bei John Lee Hooker / ZZ Top entwendetes Main-Riff geeignet ist, die Schädeldecke zu sprengen. Da kommt die Powerballade I'm Not Feelin' You (Laidlaw lassen grüssen!) gerade recht um kurz zu verschnaufen.
In bester Four Horsemen / Georgia Satellites- Manier nimmt die Band für Fire Of Your Flame wieder Fahrt auf - Love Burns Cold ist entgegen des Titels eine weitere heisse Nummer, mit tollen Double-Leads, die an die Thunderhawks erinnert. Jealous Man kommt erneut daher wie ein bollernder "Boogie D-Zug", Oowee - mit toll verschlepptem Groove rollt wie die Motorräder aus Milwaukee im 4. Gang locker vor sich hin - dazu gibt es eine feine Slidegitarre, und Hillbilly Burlesque als Instrumentalstück anrrangiert kommt beinahe daher wie ein alter Bekannter a la Green Onions meets Caballo Diablo.
Tolles Debüt dieser absolut authentischen 4-Mann Rock'n Roll Band, von der man in Zukunft sicher noch einiges erwarten kann!
