  • Bio

Their presence as a successful rock 'n' roll band in Winnipeg is unmistakable. The Ripperz have been playing the Peg for over two years now, and each show they play puts occupancy limits to the test. Eight months ago they began touring Western Canada, where they have met with similar success. In May 2008, the Ripperz released their first full-length, self-titled album. The album has been well-received by both college and mainstream radio stations. From the album, "Elephant's Blues" and "Baby, Let's Go Out" are also professionally produced music videos. What should be remembered about the Ripperz, however, is their commitment to the live show. Their album reflects this, as it was recorded live in a Winnipeg studio. The trio – Travis Warkentin, Chris Sawatzky and Mark Wiebe – gel as life-long friends when they hit the stage. From young to old, everyone is full of excitement and anticipation when it's time for the Ripperz to take stage. Their crowds are passionate. And, the Ripperz are all about passion!.
