About The Rise

The band formed in late 2004 and quickly established themselves playing gigs in and around Leeds. After releasing their first Demo New Situation produced and recorded by Carl Rosamond at his Billiard Room Studios , the band were being tipped in the press as one for the future and on the back of this continued to work hard at developing their sound. Between late 2005 and early 2006 the band parted company with there original drummer due to a clash of musical personality and the band were left with the difficult task of finding a new drummer who would meet the standards they had set themselves and fit in with the style they had now created. After several months of auditions the position was filled by Martin Whyment. Immediately everything came together and the band began endlessly rehearsing and writing new material to prepare for more recording which would introduce the new line up. Summer 2006 and the band approached Carl Rosamond with the new material and a new line up. After hearing how far the band had come in such a short space of time he was once again keen to get them into the studio and begin recording straight away with plans for 2007 in mind. The band are currently working on new material and recording sessions are underway. Release dates will be announced when confirmed.
