The band has started in Curitiba (south Brazil) in 2003 by Ronaldo “Bufunfa” Nicolaico - bass and vocals, Maíra Tito - guitar, and Bruno Novak - drums. All them had already played on different bands of different styles on the local underground scene. Willing to create some twisted rock´n´roll under the influence of the 60´s garage rock, The Rising Scum have created their own style. They drew some elements of surf music, psychobilly, and punk. It sounds dirty, fuzzy and noisy, and their lyrics are about terror, blood, and desperation. So, when the band began rehearsing and creating their own songs. Maíra left the band sometime before their first show, and was quickly replaced by Carol “Baby Rebbel”. With the new line up, the band completed their set list and made their debut on the end of 2005. Since that, the band have already played many times in the cities like Curitiba, Londrina, São Paulo, Florianópolis, Joinville, and Santos, among others, having also played on Jungle Nightmare Festival; Hellveillon; Psycho Carnival 2007. The Rising Scum´s live performances shows a dirty, loud, and heavy rock´n´roll. For those who appreciate good music, the band has a message: “DON´T GO TO OUR SHOWS!!!! “
