We have several influences. Now what we are most influenced by are the people and experiences we encounter. So it is from this, that we strive to create a truly unique sound that forces you to stop and listen. Yet as it is for most artists, there is a broad spectrum of musicians from which we draw our inspiration, and it would definitly be a long list to name them all. Our sound is said to be, Led Zeppelin meets Disturbed.
Riverpool was formed by lead guitarist Justin Ankenman and vocalist Carey Thomas in 2006. In early 2007 after a productive year of writing, they found rythm guitarist Brandon Woodward, drummer Matt Arnits, and bassist Damian Hassett, to fill the gaps and complete the melodic heavy groove that is the riverpool sound.
