The Rivers of Sound are a creative 4 piece indie rock band from Deep South in the United Kingdom.
The band has been gigging since April 2006 and in that time they have played at venues such as The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, The Joiner's in Southampton and the Dublin Castle in London. The sound of the band has been likened to The Stone Roses, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division and Interpol but in reality the band draws from a wide range of influences and every song has its own unique sound and feel.

“Weekend Call 8/10 - Sounding futuristic on one hand and like a lost, post-punk classic on the other, this is close to mind blowing."
Planet Sound, Teletext
“The EP’s high point is Weekend Call, where Lewis Brown’s intentionally dour vocals are best complimented by the comparatively upbeat instrumentation-a disco-esque drum rhythm, melodic guitar riffs that give the track the driving impetus that characterises it-this is where the band loosen their shoulders and are at their best."
Matt Golding, The Fly
“Portsmouth based dark hued indie-ites…prowling Killers via Interpol type choons replete with swathes of string sounds. The vocal resembles Michael Stipe but the music is pure post Joy Division bleakness."
Bugbear Bookings, The Hope and Anchor
"If you have a thing for old fashioned English indie, the kind of thing the NME might have gotten a bit excited by when it actually gave a shit about music, then this will be right up your street."

Hello there. Just wondering what the ticket situation is for the 4th? We have a few people wanting to come so do we get tickets in advance? Also what sort of time would we need to be sound checking?
Hey guys, Great to meet you last night, listened to all my new discs at work today, very cool. Have to say our favourite track of yours at the gig was your last one, amazing, and what an exit too! Keep in touch, will come see you guys again before too long. Big love, Rayguns
yea we are all happy with that. 30 mins is cool and no prob with being on first. Could bring between 5 and 10 people, will have to ask around. Will it be advance tickets only or would there be some on the door?
