Thermal And A Quarter’s fourth album "THIS IS IT", previewing exclusively on MySpace NOW!!
Thermal And A Quarter is a trendsetting
rock band from Bangalore, India, more recently infamous as the outsourcing capital
of the universe. We are three members, three albums and twelve years old. We are
known as TAAQ to the affectionate and the impatient and have been fortunate
to earn the loyalty of a worldwide fan base mostly thanks to that little ditty
that Al Gore claims he started, the Internet. We believe that each album sold,
each swatch of music played creates a potential messenger of TAAQ’s music.
Highlights from our decade-long trip include:
Fourth studio album This Is It released - 2008
Supporting act for Megadeth and Machine Head- 2008
Featured in Rolling Stone magazine. 3 1/2 Star Review for the new album, and guitarist Bruce Lee Mani listed among "India’s Best Axemen" - 2008
Middle East Tour, with gigs in Dubai and Bahrain - 2007
Winner - WorldSpace Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indian Rock; other honorees include The Who, Johnny Cash, Baaba Maal, Jay-Z, Lionel Ritchie and more: 2007

Featured on National Public Radio (www.npr.org) in the USA, on All Things Considered, 2005 – the first Indian band to receive this acclaim
