  • Bio

................ ................ .... A true blue, gasoline burning, rabble rousing rockabilly band, the Roadhogs have been a fixture on the original rock scene since they rolled off the line in 1999. The band consists of Jason "Sheik''Kolb, Steve Mallon, Mike Mallon, and the impeccible timing of new drummer of one year,Will Hutchinson. With influences ranging from Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Eddie Cochran to The Rolling Stones,The Doors, Waylon Jennings, Social Distortion, Hank Sr, Hank 3rd, Gram Parsons, Bruce Springsteen,Faron Young, Danzig, The Clash,Stiff Little Fingers, The Stray Cats, Dwight Yoakam,Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan, Johnny Burnette,Buddy Holly,Leadbelly, and a continuing list that is pages and pages long. The Roadhogs crafted their sound and committed themselves to the lifestyle of custom cars, and playing heartfelt original music. This was rockabilly, bored out for high performance.. They wasted no time waiting for a label to put out their music. With help from producer extraordinaire Cedric/Spine Punch Music, the band released their first full length CD, Cant Catch Me "NO LONGER FOR SALE" and played a rigorous schedule of over 50 shows a year. After appearing at several high profile festivals throughout 2003 and 2004, the band gained creative momentum. The bands second CD was written quickly and built from the ground up in late 03 and 04. With Cedric again manning the boards at Amoeba Audio, Ride On was released in March of 2004. Recently touring up and down the east coast. This is a band that is very socially aware as well as in touch with their roots! Not a band to rest, the Roadhogs have signed up with Medical Records to co-release their yet third full length CD in late 2006. They have been booked consistently in the last three or four years and have their sights set on another East Coast Tour. This band runs on angst, truth, broken hearts, and beer! The Roadhogs are the real deal. A band that lives the life, everyday. Playing music, building cars and tearing up the countryside. Music that dispenses with the obvious angst and brings music to a level everyone can enjoy. Outlaw vibe and good time music are the Roadhogs bread and butter. Instrumentally haunting, with classic swagger the Roadhogs are coming to your town. ......
