Roadhouse Past & Present:
New Year’s Eve 2006 South Ridge Dome - Roadhouse & The Flairs
Reunion night at the Full Throttle Saloon with Roadhouse and former members Missy Kunze & Mike King 11-10-07
Roadhouse has performed in three decades in the tri-state area since 1988. The band plays a wide variety of music including rock, pop, oldies, country and R&B. Roadhouse plays something for everyone and appeals to all age groups. The musicians in the band - Tony Newby on drums, Bill "Chopper" Pelchat on guitar, and Paul "Shaffer" Johnson on bass - each have about 40 years playing experience. Lead singer, Jim McBride has been playing in bands since the 80's. The lead vocals and harmony are outstanding and the chemistry of the musicians makes you want to get up and dance. Roadhouse plays a lot of re-arranged cover material as well as many original songs. The band is a former "Rivercade Battle of the Bands" winner and has been the opening act for several national recording groups. For information about bookings message us through Myspace or call Tony at 712-898-5580 or Jim at 712-301-3987.
Last Night At Dublin:
After several decades of providing live music, The Dublin House in South Sioux City NE closed it's doors on Sept. 2, 2006. Roadhouse played the final three weekends, including the last emotional night. It was a standing room only crowd that included many regulars and past customers that wanted to be on hand for the local historical night. Joining Roadhouse on stage at various times during the night were guest singers and musicians including Missy Kunze, former Roadhouse member.
In 2007 Roadhouse added playing for square dances to their repertoire. Today's square dancers like to dance to oldies which made it a fairly easy transition for Roadhouse. The band has been working with square dance callers Chuck & Debbie Veldhuizen, their daughters Christina & Casey, and John Orlowski. It's been great fun for everyone involved!
