Robin Hoare is entering a vibrant phase in his career with the release of his new album “A Time and Place”. The album features ten original songs which show a strong vision for his blues. The songs tell it how it is about today’s world from the credit crisis to online gambling addiction. As well as being a contemporary blues story teller, Robin is one of the most distinctive blues guitarists working today. He improvises fluently on his trademark Guild guitars and his live shows feature close interplay between him and gifted bass man Danny Fox. Whether he’s kicking it with his regular trio or a bigger band a Robin Hoare show is a blues feast taking in flavours of funk, jazz and rock. If you’re tired of the same old same old blues this is the man to see. As respected Sheffield journalist Bill Auckland puts it “Robin honours the blues tradition without being a slave to it.” Blues to help you get down not to get you down.*************************************************************

Hi, Thanks for visiting our MySpace site and being our friend. We hope that all is well in your life. Black Angel released our third album in two years on Earth Day April 22, 2009. It is called O’ San Francisco. We asked Tiffany Lowe, granddaughter of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash (and daughter of country singer, Carlene Carter, and British rocker, Nick Lowe) to sing on the album. The top picture below is of Tiffany in the studio recording with us. The album is dedicated to a close associate of Black Angel who recently died who was a big Johnny Cash fan. We also have former Johnny Cash drummer, Danny Darling, playing on the album. We hope to be touring soon and we may be playing shows with former Black Angel singer, Audrey (Mrs. Ike) Turner. The bottom picture is of Black Angel playing at The Roxy in Los Angeles a few years ago with (left to right): Tomeka Haywood; me; Audrey Turner; and Ronnie Turner (son of Ike and Tina Turner on bass). Please check us out when we come to your town.

Hi Robin, good to hear from you. I find I'm very rarely on here these days what with terrible connection problems and having my new phone to check emails and forums from, but which is quite labour intensive to post with! I hope you're well - looking forward to the summer break? We had a glorious weekend here, it's been scorching. Aynsley has just done 4 nights supporting Lynyrd Skynyrd and is clearly still flying from the expreince. We've had some fantastic reviews from new converts on the forum and now I'm just looking forward to seeing a blog from the man himself. Take care mate x
Great sounds, Robin! When are you coming to Panama City, Panama? Rod Richards and I just released our new CD, CHEMICAL INTERACTION. Hope you have a minute to give it a listen on my player . . . Hasta Luego!
