I played soccer for 11 years, I'd like to start playing again but I'm afraid that I'd get hurt. I love music, both playing and listening. I mostly play the trombone and keyboard, but I can play the baritone/euphonium and in theory the trumpet. I play in a Bay Area reggae/funk/hip-hop/ska/rock band called JustiFi and in the Santa Cruz Little Big Band. I'm the youngest one in the group by at least 20 years, its a weekly reminder that I have a lot to learn musically. I spend most of my time at work or in my car... it sucks.
Music
Anything thats not country. This list could be very long but here are a few highlights: Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Herbie Handcock, Weezer, Violent Femmes, Stevie Wonder, Goldfinger, Parliment, Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, The Specials, The Skatalites, and much more.
My favorite song is "Harlem" by Duke Ellington. This song is a 16 minute long masterpiece that brings the listener (at least me) through a whole gambit of emotions from sadness to joy. Listen to it for yourself and you'll know what I mean.
Movies
Bad 90's horror movies: all the Scream movies even the crappy second and third one, as much as I hate it I like both Final Destination movies, some movie about rave culture I think it was called Go, UHF, the origonal Texas Chansaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, Snatch, the old Dune movie, the animated Hobbit and Return of the King, the masterpiece new Lord of the Rings Trilogy, High Fidelity, the animated Watership Down, Charlotte's Web, and a lot more I can't think of at the moment.
Television
Simpsons, The Office, Simpsons... I try not to watch TV. It takes up valuable sleeping time.
Books
Watership Down, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Narnia books, Shogun, Tai-Pan, Walden Two and a host of other books that I have read but can't seem to recall right now. I'm currently reading, The Extended Phenotype: The Long Reach of the Gene by Richard Dawkins, The History of Jazz by Ted Gioia, and Planet Simpson by Chris Turner.

About me: I never really know what to say about myself, which is why I hate job interviews. I guess my interests speak for themselves.

Hey man, just wanted to say congrats again on your first show with us, the times that I paid attention, you guys sounded balanced and tight, it's gonna be fat once we add Nick in with you!
hey! Gas is getting higher each day. Luckily there is a special promotion for a free gas card. Get it for yourself or a friend/relative. It won't last long.
That video never gets old. Maybe we can burn something else on your birthday. I've got my old desktop. If I go up to sacramento I have a huge HP doublewide rolling HP server from the 90s or my old eMachines. All we need is a cement pad and flammables.

Don't know if you are into Salsa at all, but the best salsa band in the Bay area is playing at Moe's Alley this Saturday. I'll be there dancing my ass off ass usual. At the very least, it's always fun to see a bunch of really great musicians groove.
