Life.......Prince, Led Zeppelin, Fiona Apple, Nirvanna, Alicia Keys, Aaliyah, Otis Redding specifically......Any genre of music and/or lyric that makes me move emotionally and physically.
I am a solo artist that has been in an out of the live scene since 2003. Most of my gigs were performed at the Back Room @ Bogarts, an awesome venue that gives you that @ home feeling. I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with several talented musicians that have given a unique sound to compliment the lyrical arrangements created by my husband, Jason of Madmonkie Entertainment, and myself. I have been prepping most of the year for a return when I am ready and can't wait to step up on the stage again. It is an awesome feeling to be moved by an audience that finds something relative within a piece you have performed. I miss it more than anything. I have enjoyed every ounce of time and energy that has been focused into making this band exist and I am ready to work with other artists in order to see what can and will be. I am not a trained or disciplined musician, but I know if I could just get my lazy ass to pick up the bass or sit down at the keys I could be quite skilled.....alas I blame it on a busy work schedule when Jason tells me I need to practice....I'll work on it baby - one day :)...........So if anyone is wondering who and where I am, I am still floating around.
