Tony grew up around the Rochester area, but ended up living in Kasson, Minnesota. He dabbled in all types of music and surrounded his life with many musical ventures. One such venture was a DJ business with his father. Tony always talked about his parents as they were his world and he loved these wonderful people very dearly.
Tony went on to become a booking agent and a director for the City of Rochester. He booked Reba McEntire's sister, Susie Luchsinger, to perform in Rochester. He even met Reba McEntire and Wynonna Judd at their concerts.
One night he got dressed up as a woman and much like the rest of us was hooked into becoming a drag queen.
Celeste was born!
After a while of "trying out" drag she ventured to the Twin Cities. While in the Cities, she met Jayda Clyne, and the two soon became best of friends. She also met Sadie Seville who became her drag mother, grooming Celeste and showing her the ropes of performing the art of drag.
After she became a true performer, her stage presence was one that no one could recreate. Celeste was one in a million.
While performing, Celeste kept her sharp attitude and witty sense of humor. She had a sharp tongue and told the truth no matter the situation. She had many unique qualities, but above all else, she was personable, caring, and kindhearted.
Entertaining and performing were her true calling.
She was our friend, our girl, and Queen #1 of Southeast Minnesota.
Her dream was to start a performing group in Rochester, Minnesota. She asked her best friend Savannah to move back and assist her and Tiana T in putting on the Miss Gay Rochester pageant.
During one of the pageants, she met Sidonia and this foursome got together and started planning and putting on additional shows in Rochester.
May 31, 2000 is a sad day that many people will never forget. That is the day Tony and Celeste left us in body, but never in spirit.
She passed away after doing what she loved to do most in life: performing on a stage. She was involved in a one vehicle car accident while returning home from a show.
We know this is short and people have many other memories of her as a man, performer, friend, and son. Please share your memories with each other to keep her spirit alive.
Celeste was our true friend and we miss her dearly.

I had something happen to me on facebook, and they deleted my page for no reason. If you have a facebook I would really appreciate if you added me on there, just search for “Donna Dior” and click become a fan. It would be really awesome if you could suggest other friends of yours that enjoy drag so that I can network as much as possible!
It is with great sorrow to hear of the passing of Sadie. Our Prayers are with her all of her family. Know she is now one of the Rochester girls's Angels and she will be leading us in unspoken ways right next to Celeste.
Upon further review, and the absence of alcohol :) I realize that I owe the Rocgester Girls, Rookies Bar, Professional Aids Network, and our audience an apology for my behavior on Saturday night and for some of the statements I made. To all the attendees that offered me comfort, and words of encouragement I say thank you.
However, it is not usually in my nature to "air dirty laundry" in public, and Saturday should have been no exception.
I hope that the Girls, the bar, and the community will forgive me and allow me to continue as the Emcee for the Rochester Girls Inc.
