The Rocket has launched. Actually, err… we haven’t got that much to tell so far – we’ve only been around for about two years, and our debut album will be released by the amazing Belgian Funtime Records coming October, but one thing’s for sure: we’ve got a good feeling about this – and you’re bound to catch that vibe too.
Influenced by bands such as Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, New Found Glory and The Venga Boys alike we’ve been busy writing and rehearsing (well, not so much) songs, and playing shows for the better part of 2009. Somehow we managed to gather enough attention to get the chance to play some summer festivals like Suikerrock and Rockfest (that’s where Johan Funtime picked us up, by the way), and we hope things will get even more crazy after the release of our first release coming autumn. Life is good.
We could go on and on in this little box of text, but really: the story of The Rocket is one in the making and it would be our greatest honor to see you guys becoming a part of it over the course of the next months and years. We can’t wait to see you on shows, especially our release party the 10th of October, and are looking forward to getting in touch with all of you through this Myspace, Facebook, or whatever. So, thanks a lot for paying attention to us, and see you all real soon.
Ik hoop dat ik binnenkort nog eens een showke kan meepikken, want ik ben gigantisch benieuwd naar de cd! Een t-shirt kan er in deze barre tijden ook nog wel vanaf.
Intussentijd nog efkes reclame maken voor onze eigen demo, Too Ugly For TV. Meer DIY dan een geboorte, maar met 20 minuten dikke gitaarmuziek, een coole milieuvriendelijke verpakking en naar 't schijnt de beste hidden track ooit. Maar oordeel vooral zelf!

Vette show, toffe avond int algemeen. Ik heb nog geen cd'ke kunne kopen maar ik denk dat mijn excessieve alchoholconsumptie mss wel al wat eurotje in jullie zakje heeft gebracht :D en nog is proficiat aan de father to be !
