What’s Rockford’s Rock Opera about?
Far away, in the Sea of Tranquility, lies the Island of Infinity,
home to the last one of every extinct animal species.
Here, beneath a mystical swirling sky,
live the world’s lost creatures. And the creatures have a secret for the world.
Hi Rockfords! Your performance was super on Tuesday, we enjoyed it very much and thought the whole night was a success. Lovely to see you all again too. And the next morning we were still singing your songs, they're so catchy and easy to relate to which is one of the million reasons Rockfords is such a good thing! Cheers, Matt and Rose xx
Hi Matthew, and thanks for your friends request, and also to Gary. Hahaha I'm ahead of the game here, as that was me taking the money on the door when you launched at The Winelight! I loved Rockfords and thought it was just as you describe it "a completely unique adventure", and extremely impressive. I especially found "A Dream Too Far" very moving on the night. So very poignant.
Thanks for the CD, too.
Wishing you every success and I hope the rock opera does some good for the world - though it's probably already too late :(
Thank you Rockfords Rock Opera!!! I loved listening to your music today. :) One of my dreams is to do an opera as well! ~ Christine Now here's a little buzz buzzy garden fizz to sprinkle on your pretty page!
We were really inspired by your set on Friday - both the performance (Jess has a stunning voice and Matthew's storytelling sucks you in) and the message. Massive respect to you all for sticking your necks out to raise awareness of such an important issue. Rockford's Rock Opera deserves to be massive! My (Rosie's) mum is a teacher, and she said she'd love to have a performance at her school - when I explained the story and concept, she agreed her children would find it so stimulating and enjoyable, a much more fun way to learn about such an incredibly important subject. It was great to meet you and watch you perform - here's to the next time! We're very interested about what you said to Simon about a Fallen Leaves webcast - we wouldn't know where to start, but if you would kindly give us some pointers or even get involved, we'd be delighted! Fallen Leaves x
Well, what an amazing show that was. Thank you for chosing The Winelight Club for the live debut, and the first of what we ar sure will be many, and on much bigger stages.
Good luck with what is a truly magical project and worthy of an Oscar at the very least.
When Rockford is up there with "The Butterfly Ball" & "War Of The Worlds" where it belongs, I will be proud to say "I was there at the very 1st live show".
It was a delight & privilege to meet you all last night and thank you so much for my signed poster which I will treasure!
