Sounds Like
A glorious melee of the above (Stevie Ray Vaughan; Fabulous Thunderbirds; Storyville; ARCAngels; The Hoax; Bonnie Raitt; Jeff Beck, Albert Collins, Albert King; Sonny Landreth etc etc) plus loads of other rock, country, jazz and fusion folks!
Very sad news...
After the best part of 13 years and goodness knows how many gigs all over the UK, The Rockin’ Armadillos are no more.
The five current members of the band wish to stress we remain, as ever, the closest and dearest of friends. However, for mainly personal reasons which we do not wish to go into, we have decided to call it a day with immediate effect.
The Rockin’ Armadillos played the first of many hundreds, not thousands of gigs, opening for The Fabulous Thunderbirds at the Juke Joint Club in Basildon, Essex, on August 24, 1995.
Since then, it is fair to say we have had the time of our lives. We have been to some astonishing places, met some wonderful people and forged some brilliant, lasting friendships, both with fellow musicians and with those who come to see and hear us play.
It’s early days yet, but there’s a strong chance some of us will be back out there playing again fairly soon. For the time being, the website and MySpace page will serve as a basic contact and information point for anyone who wants to find out what we are up to, so please keep checking back here.
Failing that, you could always drop us an e-mail via this site.
Finally, we’d all like to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the many people around the world who have helped, supported and taken the band into their hearts and souls down the years... it’s been a pleasure.

Hope you're enjoying yourselves! We'd like to invite you to check out the band's new website at www.bluesistruth.co.uk and to let you know that Ian's search for new blues talent is on... You need to check out the new Victoria "Blowbox" Harp amp! I was instrumental in designing and getting into their line of top shelf amps. Go to youtube and search me "James Reeser" and there are a couple of recent vids featuring it.
It is a 45 watt 2X8 amp. It looks like a tweed head but yes it has 2 8" speakers in it. No one can believe such a fat rich tone comes from a little amp. It is versatile... light weight... It can be plugged into any speaker cab as it has 2, 4 and 8 ohm output taps. It also has a switch that makes it either a stock 59 Bassman if that is your tone (also for guitar if desired) or flip the switch for the harp special circuits and rich fat harp tone! And yes has plenty of power as a stand alone to keep up with just about any band.
NEW SONG on my page....'Feels Like Christmas' - Out on December 14th 2009 available on I-Tunes Half the proceeds of this single will be donated to 'Help For Heroes'
