  • Bio

.. ....ROLL IT !!!.... ..A Gentle Jump.... The Rockin' Lafayettes gibt's schon seit 1986. Fazit: Diese Band geht nicht "Back to the Roots" - sie selbst sind "Roots". .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........ ..English.... A Gentle Jump: The quartet Lafayettes first appeared in 1986 as the "Swampcats", and perform since these days nearly in the same formation around the founder Hannes "Jimmi Lafayette" Bernklau under the name "The Rockin' Lafayettes". The gentlemen of the Jumpin'-Lo-Fi-Blues are presenting themselves with two guitars, upright-bass, drums, mouth-harp and multiphonic vocals - not only musically, but also optically and soundtechnically in the style of legendary idols. Their compositions and interpretations are characterized by them charismatic charme and are performed with lots of playing lust and they love to be close to the public. The groovy numbers range from weepy Hobo-Blues to powerful, traditional Swingin'-Boogie and from driving Jumpin'- and Rollin'-Blues to the 40ies, 50ies & 60ies Rock'n'Roll & Rockabilly and Beat-Jazz. 2oo8 they played as support band for nobody else than Mr.Chuck Berry. This group is not going "back to the roots" - they are "Roots". .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ....
