MySpace a place for friends

We are big fans of romantic fiction here at the The Romance Studio. And that fact alone was the biggest reason that we created our site. We wanted to build a place on the web for all fans of romance.

But we fans of the romance genre are a diverse group, yes? All of us are readers. But some of us are writers, published authors, agents, book sellers, cover models, publishers and more. Keeping that in mind, we designed a site that, we hope, has something for everyone.

The Romance Studio is an interactive site that is kept fresh and new by user entries. Most every page on the site is generated by user input, most of which is posted instantly to the site. Basic membership is free and allows users to post romance industry news items, information about writing contests, conferences, conventions - even post classified ads. Featured Members get even more options and opportunities to promote themselves and their businesses - learn more here. Plus there is a database containing the records of all registered users who are industry professionals. The database is easy to search by name, subgenre and more. You can advertise your books or business with us, too.

Since we opened in January 2003, we've reviewed over 6,000 romances. We currently receive an average of 3 1/2 million hits per month.

SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT TRS @ MYSPACE

It seems for some while now that our links here at TRS have been disabled to suggest that we're "head lice" or up to some sleazy activity that will harm any visitors to this profile.

In truth, we promote romance novels. We promote the romance genre and its authors from brand new small press books to NYT best sellers. We have a wonderful site that we'd love to have you visit at www.theromancestudio.com (please don't click on the link because you'll be told that we're not reputable and you'll get either head lice or a crippling computer virus if you dare). TRS has been around since January of 2003 and I promise you that the only thing you'll get from a visit to our site is a bigger TBR (to be read) pile if you're a fan of romantic fiction. =)

We give away free books every day - ebooks, disk, and print - to fans of romance novels. We offer 20 or more original interviews each month from today's best romance authors, offer information on drawings and contests, news and announcements and more.In the last several months, we've posted those announcements here along with links to our interviews and the daily book contest but since people can't click through and new comers are being told that we're illegitimate, I see no point in wasting more time doing so. My apologies to the authors who are members of our site. I hope you understand why I'm not continuing.
