THE ROOTS UNION are a dazzling five piece who fuse acoustic guitar, dobro, violin, beatbox harmonica, bass, percussion and harmonies. Their live show offers a rich tapestry of compelling songwriting and often spellbinding musicianship...
2009 saw them touring the UK and gracing the stages of many festivals including Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Green Man, Secret Garden Party, Sidmouth, Broadstairs and Cambridge Folk Festivals. As well as lots of local and national radio airplay and a live set at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 3's Late Junction.
The band are currently 'in the lab with the pen and pad' working on their debut album at Propagation House in Cornwall. Scheduled for release in Spring 2010. There is a live EP in the pipeline this winter currently being mastered in Nashville and tours planned for late January and the Spring...
